SOUTH AFRICA / TAKE PART

Small boards.
More people.

Connect with the scene. Share an event. Bring an idea.

Growing South Africa’s fingerboarding community takes riders, artists, makers, shops and organisers. Here’s how you can take part, at your own pace.

01 / FIND YOUR PEOPLE

Connect with Sket Botter.

Read the group rules on Facebook. Facebook may ask you to sign in. Opening the group does not join you automatically; participation is handled on Facebook.

02 / MEET AROUND A LITTLE BOARD

Find a session. Share a session.

VERIFIED LISTINGS

No confirmed events listed yet.

We’ll list an event after checking its organiser, date, South African time, venue, costs, age rules and original source.

No booking, ticket or RSVP is available here yet. Confirm details with the organiser before travelling or paying.

Know an event?

Send an organiser’s public announcement, or propose your own session. We review each suggestion before listing it.

Suggest an event

Use a public venue name, not somebody’s home address. No date or place becomes public automatically.

03 / CREDIT THE CREATOR

Make room for local work.

Meet Shaun Draws Eyes.

Explore Shaun Manley’s deck graphics and illustrations, credited to the artist with links to his original work.

Explore Shaun’s showcase

Share your portfolio.

Artists, deck makers, obstacle builders and other creators: introduce yourself with a public portfolio link.

Introduce your work

Review → agree the pieces and credit → preview → permission to publish. Sending a link does not grant us permission to reproduce your work or guarantee a feature.

04 / BUILD THE SCENE TOGETHER

Help grow South Africa’s fingerboarding community.

Riders, makers, artists, shops and event organisers: if you’d like to contribute, share an idea or build something together, we’d love to hear from you.

A patient tip, a local connection, an illustration or an idea for a session can all be a start. Tell us what you have in mind. We’ll discuss what’s practical together.

Collaborate with us

An introduction starts a conversation. It does not promise funding, sponsorship, payment or a partnership.

05 / ONE MORE TRY

Learn something. Share what helps.

Eight ways to start.

Play, pause and step through the illustrated Tricks Lab. Any setup. Any skill level.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Tell us what you have in mind.

Requests go to a private review queue. Your email and message are not published. A receipt means we saved your request for review; it does not mean an event, feature or membership has been approved.

Under 18? Please ask a parent or guardian to make the request with you, using their contact details. Don’t send your date of birth, school, ID or home address.

Prefer email? createfate96@gmail.com. This opens your email app; you still need to send the message yourself.

Privacy & what happens next

Sket Botter uses the name, reply email, links and details you provide to review and respond to this request. They are stored privately with the existing website host. Nothing is posted automatically, and this is not a newsletter signup.

We aim to keep only what is needed for the conversation. To ask for access, correction or deletion, email createfate96@gmail.com and include your request reference if you have it. Don’t include sensitive personal information.

Requests move to a recoverable private archive after 14 days in the review queue. Archiving does not erase them. Older records are flagged for a separate deletion decision; an ongoing collaboration needs its own agreed record. You can contact us about access, correction or removal. No automatic messages are sent.

Community ground rules & reporting
  • Be respectful. Beginners belong. No harassment, scams or impersonation.
  • Share your own work or get permission. Give clear credit.
  • Check event details, age rules and costs with the organiser. Meet at public venues; minors need a parent or guardian.
  • Report a concern to createfate96@gmail.com. Do not post someone else’s private details.

Connecting to the request service…

If the service cannot save your request, we’ll say so and keep your text on screen. We won’t show a success message.
